Egmont Insight: Knowledge that makes a difference

At Egmont’s Grant Administration, we do more than provide financial support to children and youth at risk – we are also committed to sharing new knowledge. That is why we publish Egmont Insight, where new research highlights some of the challenges children and young people in vulnerable positions face.

Support for children and young people

Honest voices of children. Important key figures. Strong recommendations from those who know the most – or from those it is all about. These are some of the elements that define Egmont Insight.

With Egmont Insight, we bring attention to the challenges faced by children and youth at risk – and contribute to conversations about how we, as a society, can address them. Knowledge, analyses and insights are made available to decision-makers and other key stakeholders, and the content is developed continuously in dialogue with partners in the field. In this way, Egmont Insight helps inform the public agenda, foster dialogue and strengthen the foundation for decisions and solutions that can make a positive difference for children and young people.

Egmont Insight is published twice a year, each time focusing on a current theme of importance to children and youth at risk. This may, for example, include children’s and young people’s experiences of growing up in poverty or the barriers young people with chronic illnesses face in the education system.

The themes are always rooted in one of our three focus areas: 1) Reducing deprivation for children in poverty, 2) Education for all, 3) Enhanced participation and empowerment.

In this way, Egmont Insight contributes to sustaining the long-term commitment of the foundation’s work to create positive societal change for children and youth at risk.
