In Egmont, we have always contributed to the community we are part of. We bring stories to life through TV, film, games, books, magazines and more, and at the same time, we support children and youth at risk in pursuing a good life.

Egmont was founded by Egmont Harald Petersen in 1878. As a boy, he changed his life story when, against all odds, he established a printing company and began to bring stories out into the world. More than 140 years later, this is still what we do at Egmont: We bring stories to life.

Our stories matter to people and society. From the entertaining to the in-depth, from paper to screen, from 24/7 news to Oscar-winning films. We are driven by stories that touch the heart, enlighten, educate, inspire, create community and push for change.

With a strong entrepreneurial DNA, we are constantly looking for new ways to tell stories. Today we have more than 50 companies and brands across books, TV, magazines, films, games, cinemas, education, e-commerce and agencies.

Our own story is about taking responsibility and giving back to society. As an enterprise foundation, we have used part of our profits to help others for more than 100 years. It is written in our deed of foundation and helps to make our work meaningful. Today, we spend around DKK 100 million a year on supporting children and young people in being able to complete an education and create a good life. And we will continue to do so.
