TV 2 will thus continue, in partnership with Amedia, as the principal partner of Norwegian football until 2034.

”TV 2 has great ambitions for Norwegian football. I am proud and delighted that TV 2, together with Amedia, will continue as principal partner for the next nine years, says,” TV 2’s CEO and Editor-in-Chief, Olav Sandnes.

TV 2 will hold the rights to Eliteserien, Toppserien and the women’s national team, as well as broadcast rights to selected matches in the OBOS League.

”We already have a fantastic partnership with TV 2, and it is great that TV 2 is continuing as our principal partner,” says President of the Football Association of Norway Lise Klaveness.

Amedia will take over the rights to the OBOS League from 2027 and will additionally hold rights to the women's Under-23 national team, the women's First Division, the men's Second Division and the Norsk Tipping League.

”We believe Amedia will be able to give both the women's First Division and the OBOS League a well-deserved boost, whilst TV 2 can further sharpen and strengthen its focus on Toppserien and Eliteserien,” says Sandnes.
