New CFO at Egmont

Andreas Morthorst will assume the CFO position at Egmont on January 1, 2026. He will contribute to Egmont’s continued development as the Nordic region’s largest media group, bringing with him financial and business strategy experience from several large companies.

45-year-old Andreas Morthorst is appointed by Egmont as new CFO. Morthorst has served as CFO at Ellab since 2022 and previously held the same position at Tivoli. Morthorst also has experience from Scandinavian Tobacco Group and PwC. He is a certified public accountant.

“Egmont is a media group with a presence in 30 countries through TV, film, computer games, magazines, books, and digital agencies. Given his track record in financial management, business development, and transformation, Andreas Morthorst is a valuable addition to Egmont’s group management. Andreas Morthorst will assume his position on January 1, 2026. He will replace Hans J. Carstensen, who has decided to hand over the baton after more than 20 years in Egmont’s management to start a new chapter in his life.
