About the role
Egmont IT is looking for an IAM Specialist to join our Digital Trust team, the team responsible for Identity, Access Management, and foundational security services across Egmont IT. In this role, you’ll strengthen a small, close‑knit team by taking on a highly hands‑on IAM role, working day‑to‑day with cloud identity platforms, access controls, and providing input to future designs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys doing the work, not just designing things — you will be configuring, operating, improving, and scaling identity solutions in close collaboration with both security and other platform teams.
Egmont is a foundation, meaning all profits are reinvested into developing our media companies and donated to support vulnerable children and young people. Learn more about working at Egmont: https://www.egmont.com/about-working-egmont
What you’ll do
- Implement, and operate cloud identity and access management solutions, primarily within Microsoft Entra ID
- Help us evolve our IAM foundations such as authentication methods, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM/PAM, role design, and lifecycle processes
- Work hands‑on with federations, SAML, OAuth/OIDC, and any other Single Sign‑On (SSO) integrations
- Support and improve our multi‑tenant identity setups, including cross‑tenant access, governance, and security boundaries
- Contribute to internal IAM standards, patterns, and guardrails, enabling other teams to build securely by default
- Take part in operational IAM work such as troubleshooting, access reviews, and continuous improvements
- Contribute to internal policy frameworks and security guidelines to ensure security by design for other departments within Egmont IT.
What you’ll bring
- Fluency in English and at least one of the Scandinavian languages.
- Strong, proven experience working hands‑on with IAM in cloud environments
- A practical mindset — you enjoy configuring systems, solving real access problems, and improving how things actually work
- The ability to collaborate closely with others while keeping a clear focus on scalable, long‑term identity design
- While the role is primarily Cloud focused, practical knowledge of Active Directory would be valuable
Ideal profile
You don’t need to tick every box, but the strongest candidates are expected to have experience with most of the following:
- Proven experience with cloud identity solutions, such as:
- Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
- Privileged Access Management (PAM)
- MFA and authentication methods
- Federations, SAML, OAuth/OIDC, and SSO
- Familiarity with multi‑tenant architectures and their security implications
- A collaborative mindset with a strong focus on pragmatic, scalable change rather than one‑off solutions
- Comfort working across both operational IAM tasks and design‑level discussions
- Experience with Active Directory
- Understanding email security, and topics like DNS, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC
