Data & AI Platform Engineer

Egmont IT is seeking a Data & AI Platform Engineer to join our Data & AI Platforms team. In this role, you will design, build, and scale the critical infrastructure that empowers teams across Nordisk Film, TV 2 Norway, Story House Egmont and Lindhardt & Ringhof to leverage the full potential of data and AI. Egmont is a foundation, meaning all our profits are reinvested into developing our media companies and donated to support vulnerable children and young people.

Your Role & Impact
You will be a key player in maturing our AI capabilities and responsible for the full lifecycle of our data and AI platforms.

- Develop & Manage Data & AI Services: Take ownership of critical services, including our internal LLM gateway, custom chatbot solution, MCP servers and data lake, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and secure.
- Build & Scale Core Infrastructure: Design, deploy, and maintain our multi-cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP) Data & AI platform using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Productionalize Innovation: Partner with business units to take new ideas from proof-of-concept to production, transforming experimental AI prototypes into standardized, reliable features for all of Egmont.
- Automate & Optimize: Develop internal tooling and automation scripts in Python to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and ensure platform reliability.
- Empower Your Colleagues: Act as a subject matter expert, supporting and training teams across Egmont to effectively use our platforms and adopt best practices in data and AI.

What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
We're looking for a blend of technical expertise and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

- Cloud & Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience building and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform in environments like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Python Proficiency: Strong Python skills for scripting, automation, and developing internal tools.
- Collaborative Mindset: A strong sense of ownership and the ability to drive projects independently while thriving in a cross-functional team environment.
- Relevant Education: Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Bonus Points for:
- Hands-on experience with orchestration and LLMOps tools (e.g., Prefect, Airflow, MLflow).
- Familiarity with data lake architecture.
