Mattel rewards Egmont Kids Media

Egmont received two awards at this year's Mattel Global Brand Summit. The Best Licensee in hardline products and the European Hot Wheels Licensee of the year.

700 participants representing more than 300 licensees from all over the world were gathered at the Mattel Global Brand Summit in Miami in the beginning of May. The theme of the Summit was "Play to Grow".

At the gala awards dinner, Egmont – represented by Rob McMenemy and Georgi Alexandrov from Egmont UK Ltd. and Egmont Bulgaria – received two awards: Best Licensee in hardline products category and the European Hot Wheels Licensee of the year.

The Mattel Global Brand Summit also included a business review from Mattel, with positive feedback to Egmont's overall performance and acknowledgements of different Egmont Brands.

The Egmont magazine Monsters High was announced a great success; two new characters will be created, the fourth novel has been launched and more webisodes and a DVD release will follow.

Egmont's work with the rebranding and reposition of the Hot Wheels brand includes a series of shows on the largest markets and the slogan "From toy brand to boy brand".
