Egmont appoints new strategy director

On 1 April Erik Kongsvik-Ibsen joins Egmont to fill the position of Vice President for Corporate Strategy and Development. He comes from a position as Head of Business Development at North Media.

Erik Kongsvik-Ibsen, 37, holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, specialising in technology management, and holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Pacific Lutheran University in Seattle. Coming from a position as Head of Business Development at North Media, he has previously worked for other companies such as Quartz+Co, PA Consulting Group and a technology start-up enterprise.

'I am looking forward to Erik Kongsvik-Ibsen beginning his work as Egmont's head of corporate strategy and business development. Erik has a solid background relevant for a media group that is constantly developing an ever-stronger presence on consumers' screens while continuously investing in original media content,' says CEO Steffen Kragh.

Erik Kongsvik-Ibsen takes over from Rikke Crosby, who will be assuming a management position at Egmont Nordisk Film.

Erik Kongsvik-Ibsen takes up the position as Vice President for Corporate Strategy and Development at Egmont on 1 April 2014.
