Egmont Receives Disney Milestone Award

Tommy Melle, Vice president of Egmont Kids & Teens, received on behalf of Egmont the Disney Milestone Award at the annual Bologna Children Book's Fair.

Egmont is awarded for 60 years of mutual beneficial cooperation with Disney. It all began in 1948, when Egmont published the first Donald Duck comic magazine in Sweden. In the beginning the comic was based on American material. Since 1963 the stories about Donald Duck and the other citizens of Duckberg has been created and published at Egmont's headquarter in Copenhagen.

Today Egmont publishes Disney series in more than 20 countries, and with 8 million weekly readers, Egmont is the world's largest comics producer.
