879.000 Norwegians viewed the spectacular Idol final from Oslo Spektrum, and no less than 1.012.000 people viewed the part where the winner was found. Altogether, Idol got a share of 51,7 percent in the group aged 12+. It is the highest share for an Idol final since 2005.

"Stian Blipp has led the Idol-shows in a fantastic way and the sky-high ratings are not least thanks to him. It was also deserved that he got the Audience Award at the Gullruten award show during an evening where TV 2 got a record-breaking number of awards and some of the most prestigious awards. With seven awards TV 2 indeed showed its capabilities", said Program Director of TV 2, Pil Gundelach Brandstrup.

The 9 o'clock news with Arill Riise also got high ratings with no less than 649.000 viewers Friday and 553.000 viewers Saturday. Apart from that, the last programme of the season of Senkveld was viewed by 836.000 people, which gave the show a share of 52,8 percent.

The broadcasting of the Gullruten award show got 781.000 viewers and a share of 52,7 percent. When it peaked, 825.000 watched the program. And TV 2 took home seven awards - among others the awards for Best entertainment programme, Best reality programme and Best docu soap.

The impressive ratings during the weekend gave TV 2 its best week this year to date with a share of 22,2 percent in the group aged 12+.

"It's ratings like this you can only dream of. The viewers have literally flocked to TV 2 during the whole week so there are many smiling faces at the station today. And I can promise that we will continue to give our viewers unforgettable moments", says Communication Manager Petter Dahl.
