Danish design for the world

08.04.2016

Danish design and the 'Danish way of living' is extremely popular globally and now the Danish design and interior magazine: RUM gets world premiere

Egmont Publishing is launching a magazine named RUM INTERNATIONAL, which is based on the design and interior magazine RUM. RUM has been in popular demand by advertisers, readers and bloggers abroad.

Mette Barfod, Editor in Chief at Egmont Publishing commented:

"RUM is currently seeing strong growth in the Danish market. The interest in the Nordic lifestyle and the increasing focus on traditional Scandinavian design has in recent years attracted readers and advertisers from abroad so we are thrilled to be bringing RUM to a broader readership."

The first edition has just been launched and will be on sale in more than 25 countries in Europe, Asia and the US. RUM is unlike any other magazine on the market, and this is why Mette Barfod believes in an international breakthrough.

The theme in the first edition of RUM INTERNATIONAL is Cool Copenhagen, and the Danish involvement in the 250 page magazine has been significant, bringing local expertise to international markets.

RUM INTERNATIONAL was recently launched in Asia, where the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs was the media partner at the fair Design Shanghai. Over the coming months RUM INTERNATIONAL will be launched in both Milan and New York, where Danish design is very popular.

RUM INTERNATIONAL will initially be released once a year. This print run for the first edition of the magazine is 30,000 copies. The magazine costs 7 GBP.
