When the hero needs a helping hand
Three new short cinematic spots are now showing ahead of most movies across Nordisk Film Cinemas, highlighting Egmont’s dual purpose.
On the big screen, the hero always manages. But in real life, you might need a helping hand.
Audiences can now hear this message as the light dim in Nordisk Film Cinemas.
Three new cinematic spots - titled THE STORM, THE JUMP, and SPACE - were created in close collaboration between Egmont and Nordisk Film Cinemas. The films are rooted in the dual purpose and draw inspiration from cinematic storytelling.
“As an enterprise foundation, Egmont has for more than 100 years dedicated part of its profits to helping others. That is part of what makes Egmont unique. Nordisk Film Cinemas is a natural place to share that story, because our cinemas, as part of our commercial media business, help generate the funds that support children and young people facing difficult life circumstances,” says Amanda Justesen, Director of Corporate Communications in Egmont, explaining the background for the short films.

By using dramatic cinematic scenes to reflect a reality where you cannot always manage everything alone, the three short films highlight how Egmont donates approximately DKK 100 million of its profits each year to help children and youth in difficult life circumstances get an education, gain an active voice in society, and build a good life.
“The three cinematic stories are crafted specifically for the big screen to surprise and move audiences, conveying the message in a simple, relatable way. If our guests have a great experience while gaining a clearer sense of who we are and what we stand for, the films will have achieved their goal,” says Casper Bonavent, Managing Director of Nordisk Film Cinemas Denmark.
Children play the lead roles in the short films, reflecting the Egmont Foundation dedicated work supporting children and youth.
“The Egmont Foundation was closely involved throughout the process to ensure that the representation of the children aligns naturally with their work with children and youth,” says Amanda Justesen.
The new cinema spots can now be seen in Nordisk Film Cinemas, starting with THE STORM.
