Strong Journalism That Reaches All of Denmark

Magazine journalism is more challenged than ever. In a media landscape where digital stories are available instantly and video streams on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram never stop, magazines face growing demands.

Strong stories

Two of Story House Egmont’s most popular titles, Euroman and Hjemmet, approach their editorial work with care and depth. From in-depth profiles of key cultural figures and trends to socially relevant stories and constructive news, they aim to provide content readers can relate to—and act on—in their own lives.

“When it comes to the journalism in Hjemmet, I’ll go so far as to say we need to be better than anyone else,” says Marianne Gram, editor-in-chief of the magazine.
For many of Hjemmet's readers, it’s their primary—or only—source of news. That places a high demand on both relevance and credibility. In Hjemmet, stories of social significance are told through personal narratives, making the content familiar and emotionally engaging for readers.

Magazines at Story House Egmont are editor-driven, with a strong emphasis on quality and trust. They serve as an important counterbalance to fleeting news, social media, and fake news, and play a crucial role in ensuring media diversity in Denmark. With over a million print readers—and even more online—Story House Egmont's magazines reach audiences that traditional news outlets may not.

Euroman is published in print 12 times a year.

“This gives us the time to explore topics more deeply than what’s possible in the fast-paced daily press or on social media,” explains editor-in-chief Kristoffer Dahy Ernst.

The magazine’s cover plays a key role: It features carefully selected individuals with something meaningful to say—people who can inspire and engage. The editorial team invests time and presence in their interviews, giving readers a unique insight into the full person behind the story. At the same time, Euroman maintains a strong digital presence—on the web, on social media, and through podcasts.

For more than 100 years, Story House Egmont has published magazines with strong journalism, entertainment, and compelling storytelling. Titles like Euroman, Hjemmet, ALT for damerne, HER&NU, and RUM remain a vital part of the Danish media landscape—serving as both cultural carriers and mirrors of society.
