Children's five recommendations
Following the study "A Childhood with Limited Money," all the interviewed children have been asked if they have any advice or recommendations on how to help children in the same situation as themselves. Based on their answers, SUS - Social Development Center has formulated five points where the children particularly request a helping hand from "those who decide."

Do not put us in situations where it is indirectly expected that we rely on resources we do not have, such as a bike, a travel card, or a parent with a car.

Establish common guidelines for the level of gifts, so that we can all attend birthdays without feeling pressured to "bankrupt" our parents or be embarrassed about what we give.

Help us get part-time jobs. It gives us better means to participate in the community and also relieves pressure because we don't have to constantly ask our parents for money for things like clothes, experiences, and gifts.

Provide us with financial means for experiences that break from the everyday and create good memories. It can be anything from a trip to the cinema, circus, or water park to larger excursions or vacations.

Limit the extent to which we have to pay for things at school, and ensure that consideration is given to those who cannot afford it, such as payment for class funds, pocket money for trips, transportation, etc.
The interviewed children have not had the opportunity to approve the five recommendations afterward. The phrasing is thus SUS's interpretation of the children's statements.
