In addition to its core business, Egmont is strategically focusing on building new growth areas within both marketing services and e-commerce. Egmont has backed a series of e-commerce companies and digital marketing services, as the business is increasingly evolving using new technology and data to service the modern consumer with content on new user platforms.

Egmont Publishing has a portfolio of six Nordic e-commerce companies – Jollyroom, Fjellsport, Outnorth, Bagaren och Kocken/GoShopping, Med24, and Nicehair – which in 2017 accounted for 1.7 billion DKK.

Outnorth, founded in 2005, is a leading Nordic outdoor web shop and had a 2017 revenue of 430 million SEK. With a multi-million DKK investment, Egmont Publishing purchased full ownership of Outnorth in 2018, which operates in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Germany. Egmont is also a majority owner in Bagaren and Kocken/GoShopping, a Nordic online store for luxury kitchen equipment. Egmont holds minority ownership in the other e-commerce companies in its portfolio.
Digital marketing services
Egmont is also behind a series of successful new growth business within digital marketing and is currently co-owner of six Nordic companies in this area: Ingager, s360, Very Patchwork, Klintberg Niléhn, KAN, and Sempro
