Faith, hope and charity?

Many young Danes are unhappy. Unfortunately, we do not know why, or how extensive the problems are.

Most young Danes are happy, and live an active and meaningful life. A smaller group experience difficulties. ”When it’s difficult being young in Denmark” is a research project, which will identify the extent of youngsters’ world-weariness, and the reasons behind it.

We lack solidly based knowledge of the phenomenon, and the project will, among other things, highlight how their unhappiness is expressed, and what it means for the youngsters in the long term. With the research results as a starting point, the researchers will then suggest necessary initiatives, in order to improve the youngsters’ wellbeing.
