Beetle Bailey rounds the amount of 800 the same month as the 50th anniversary of the publication of Mort Walker’s Beetle Bailey in Denmark. The first time the Danish readers were introduced to Beetle Bailey was in the weekly comic book Popeye June 24th of June, 1958. Several newspapers began to print Beetle Bailey the year after. The first actual Beetle Bailey comic book was published March 15th 1972 and Denmark has had the pleasure of the comics ever since.

The popularity of Beetle Bailey has given rise to a lot of special issues. These days, volume books with Beetle Bailey are published and each volume will enclose two years of chronological comic strips.
