Egmont Bulgaria is named Publisher of 2011
27 january, 2012Egmont Bulgaria was named Publisher of 2011, in the Fantasy and Horror genre, at the 11-th annual ceremony of the Bulgarian National Club of Fantasy and Horror.
The event was held in the House of Culture „Sredec” in Sofia and as every year gathered lots of fans of the fantasy genre of all ages.
Besides the recognition for the past 2011, Egmont Bulgaria was awarded in several other categories. „The Lost Hero” – the first novel in the „Heroes of Olympus” series by Rick Riordan, was named Book of the Year. Jason Grace defended last year title of another favorite character of Riordan - Percy Jackson, receiving the award for Hero of the Year. The return of Percy in the second book of „Heroes of Olympus” – „The Son of Neptune”, ranked second in the rating for event of the year, bettered only by the long-awaited finale of the film saga „Harry Potter”.
Last year Egmont Bulgaria won 4 of the awards at the ceremony – for Book of the Year („Percy Jackson and the Olympians”), International hit of the year („Heroes of Olympus”), Fantasy of the Decade („Harry Potter”) and for Publisher of the Decade.
