New director in charge of the Egmont Foundation's Aid and grants administration

Henriette Christiansen has been employed as new director of the Egmont Foundation's Aid and Grants Administration. The administration handles the Egmont Foundation's charitable activities. Henriette Christiansen takes over from 1 September 2009.

Henriette Christiansen (36) has a master's degree in political science from 1999 and has had a long career within public service. Henriette Christiansen latest position was as a senior consultant at Kraft & Partners. Among other responsibilities she was in charge of the consultant business' work for the Tryg Foundation.

Henriette Christiansen is passionate about both the social engagement and the organizational work. Apart from her assignments as manager of administrations at the Ministry of Culture and senior consultant at the Danish Agency for Governmental Management, she has voluntarily worked with children and young people among others for AFS Interkultur, Danish Youth Council and for the committee for defense of human rights in Honduras.

"I have always had two focus points in my life. One is about social engagement, and the other is about organizing and managing organizations professionally. At the Egmont Foundation I will have the possibility to combine both parts by working strategically with philanthropy," says Henriette Christiansen.

Apart from that she has a passionate interest for social conditions, especially for children and young people, so she is the ideal profile for the Egmont Foundation's charitable activities," says Mikael Olufsen, chairman of the board at the Egmont Foundation
