TV 2 delivered a solid result in 2015, also compared with 2014 when adjusting for the substantial positive impact from non-recurring items in 2014 due to gains from the restructuring of pension plans in TV 2.
Overall, TV 2 is Norway’s largest broadcaster in the 20-49-year age group and enjoyed great success on the main channel with strong programmes and large-scale TV-series such as Frikjent and Okkupert.
TV 2 re-launched the genre channels, which resulted in an increase in viewers. TV 2 also strengthened the premium services with the acquisition of C More’s Norwegian business, and by securing the Premier League rights in Norway until the end of the 2018/19 season.
www.tv2.no is the fastest-growing website in Norway and exceeded one million daily unique visitors on average in 2015. TV 2 Sumo showed continued growth in both revenue and subscriptions and is Norway’s largest streaming service in terms of revenue.
