Local talent are the centre of attention, when talking music at Egmont. Through Nordisk Film we are involved in the music company MBO Group.

At times, when film stars release records, fashion models star in films and TV hosts become show dancers, we have found our niche in the world of music.

MBO Group’s goal is to be an alternative to big multinational companies; to represent local musicians in Denmark, Norway and Sweden and help them on their way to the top.

Many of the bands and solo artists you listen to are probably connected with the MBO Group via companies like Copenhagen Records, A:larm music, My Way Music or Good Songs Publishing in Denmark. Sweden’s Roxy Recordings and MBN in Norway are also part of the MBO Family, and are often represented on the Swedish and Norwegian hit lists.

MBO Group has a series of outstanding releases on their curriculum, and we are proud to be associated with a company which is behind 50% of all locally produced music, including many bestsellers, in the Nordic countries.
