Egmont as in… Africa

It's not every day that we launch on a new continent. But with our new Capetown office, Egmont is ready to handle five Disney titles in Africa. With more to come.

Egmont's relationship with Disney goes back decades. Such a long-standing partnership creates trust and Egmont has now taken over Disney's South African magazine portfolio consisting of Disney Junior, Disney & Me, Disney Princess, Disney Presents and Marvel Superheroes.

The next step for Egmont Africa will be to enlarge the portfolio and analyze the possibilities for expanding to more countries in Africa.

Björn Vöhl, regional manager for Asia and Middle East in Kids Media, is happy to welcome Egmont Africa into the Egmont family: "Our new office is located in South Africa and will be our starting point on the African market but in the long run we are also looking into additional African countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda or Angola."
