PlayStation 2 Sales in Nordic countries reach 1 Million units

October 30, 2003 – Nordisk Film Interactive today announced that it had sold 2 units to consumers in the Nordic countriesover 1 million PlayStation (Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland).

The 1 million milestone come as the Christmas sales is about to kick in and many important titles are about to hit the streets. PlayStation 2 is not alone the most popular console in the Nordic countries, but also the worlds most popular with more than 60 million PlayStation 2 units sold worldwide since the release in 2000.

Commenting on the sales figures, Allan M. Hansen, General Manager of Nordisk Film Interactive. “Not only did we have a fantastic year in driving ahead to the 1 million milestone, but we are looking forward to the coming Christmas sales with increased momentum. PlayStation 2 has an unmatched line-up of terrific games for 2003, featuring some uniquely innovative games that will redefine and expand the experience of computer entertainment gaming.”

With award winning and hotly anticipated new titles, updated established favourites, online gaming excitement and innovative new games for the young and young at heart, the PlayStation 2 line-up for the festive season promises fun and variety for all the family.
