The Egmont Group has appointed Hans Jacob Carstensen to the position of CFO and as member of the management team.
Hans Jacob Carstensen comes to Egmont from a position as CFO for TDC Mobile International, with an annual turnover of DKK 18 billion. Before that Hans Jacob Carstensen held several managerial positions in the telecommunications industry up through the 1990s, most recently for Telenordia and TDC Mobile International, where he - among other tasks - worked with restructuring and focusing of several business areas.
Hans Jacob Carstensen is 36 and holds an MSc. in economics from the University of Århus in 1989. After graduating, he worked from 1989-94 for Jydsk Telefon in Århus, at the end of the period as the head of finance and accounting. In 1994 Hans Jacob Carstensen was appointed project manager at Tele Danmark and was promoted to accounting manager in 1996. The following year brought more new challenges, first as CFO and later as acting CEO for Telenordia in Stockholm, before he was brought back to Tele Danmark in Copenhagen to serve as Vice President of the Financial Services Organisation in 1999. His promotion to CFO for TDC Mobile International followed in 2000.
Hans Jacob Carstensen is married and has two children.
