All over Scandinavia, many stores had Night Open events, and enthusiasts line dup for hours to get their hands on the new PlayStation. In Norway, the consoles arrived at the Sony Store in Oslo in armoured cars, and the PS3s were hand-carried into the store in front of the line of excited fans.
The atmosphere was great outside the Sony Store, where there was music, gaming, snacks and drinks. The first eager buyers started lining up already at two in the afternoon, and the press paid much attention to Norway’s first proud PlayStation 3-owner. Also in Copenhagen, the led up PS3-fans were well taken care of, amongst other things they got to try out the console on Nordisk Film’s custom-built PS3 bike, before they could get their own machine inside.
Director of Nordisk Film Interactive, Allan M. Hansen, is thrilled with the successful launch: “We are proud to participate in the launch of the entertainment machine of the future. The fact that PS3 can play both music, movies and games holds a lot of possibility for Nordisk Film.”
