Both TV series are produced by Nordisk Film.
"Young Andersen" is among the four international mini-series nominated for an Emmy Award.
General Manager of film production, Kim Magnusson, comments: ”This nomination is a fantastic recognition putting both “Young Andersen” and Nordisk Film on the world map and placing us among the best in the international league. The series has already been sold to TV channels in 19 countries, the nomination will kick sales even further. It’s a wonderful day for all of us and everyone who has been involved in this great film can be very proud”.
”Young Andersen” describes a turbulent chapter in Hans Christian Andersen’s life when he’s 17 years old. The feature film-version of “Young Andersen” premiered theatrically this spring and was recently launched on DVD in Denmark.
The popular TV series “FC Nerds” has been nominated in the category 'Non-Scripted Entertainment'.
Mikkel Berg, acting head of TV production, says: “FC Nerds is a tremendous success and the Emmy-nomination confirms that we have produced a viable format that we, together with TV2 Zulu, can be proud of and expect a lot from. The nomination also proves that our TV production has lots of creative willpower and strength to projects like this in the future.”
“FC Nerds” combines reality and make-over in a football setting where a team of nerds are trained to play a football match against a professional team.
In Norway “Heia Tufte”, which is the Norwegian version of “FC Nerds”, more than 700,000 viewers watched the most recent episode.
