Talent Award for ”Accused”

Danish director Jacob Thuesen’s debut film ”Accused” won the prestigious “New European Talent - Prix Fassbinder” during this year’s European Film Awards.

Danish director Jacob Thuesen’s debut film ”Accused” won the prestigious “New European Talent - Prix Fassbinder” during this year’s European Film Awards.

The award ceremony, which has been referred to as the European answer to an Oscar, took place on December 3 in Berlin.

Jacob Thuesen received the award on stage together with the main character of the film, Troels Lyby, and the producers of “Accused”, Thomas Heinesen and Kim Magnusson from Nordisk Film.

More than 50,000 saw “Accused” after its theatrical launch in Danish cinemas on January 28, and since then the film has been sold to several countries. “Accused” was also the only Danish film to participate at the main competition at the Berlin Film Festival 2005.
