Denmark’s new broadband channel TV 2 Sputnik will now have an even bigger selection of films on the shelves. On June 17 Sputnik Film will count 50 new titles because Nordisk Film has entered a distribution agreement with Scanbox. More films will follow each month.
Already from June 17 Danes can watch international films such as ”Fahrenheit 9/11”, ”Passion of the Christ”, ”Monster”, ”Sky Captain” and Danish films such as ”Bleeder” and ”I Kina spiser de hunde” via Sputnik Film.
Every month more films will follow. At the moment the most popular films on the internet are “King’s Game” and "Around the World in 80 Days".
”The philosophy behind TV2 Sputnik is that we want to be the Danes’ digital video store and give the customers’ access to a wide selection of films. We need new titles on the shelves all the time. We will be able to do this to an even greater extent with the new agreement we have entered with Scanbox”, says Mikkel Berg, Vice President, Nordisk Film.
Kenneth Wiberg, Commercial Director and responsible for the Sputnik department in Nordisk Film, continues. “We look forward to the collaboration with Scanbox: it’s our first distribution agreement, but more will follow with other film distributors to secure an updated and wide selection of films in Sputnik Film.
