Peter Schønau Fog receives the Nordisk Film Award 2007

There were both a tenacious and a green award winner on the stage, when Nordisk Film’s 101 year’s birthday was celebrated with an award show in Valby on November 6. It was the man behind “The Art of Crying”, movie director Peter Schønau Fog, who went home with a check of DKK 101.000, when the Nordisk Film Award was presented in Studio 3 in Valby. At the same occasion, cinematographer Dan Laustsen received the newly established Erik Balling Travel Grant of DKK 50.000.

The awards were given by Poul Nesgaard, principal at the Danish Film School, and Peter Schepelern, lector in Film and Media Science at the University of Copenhagen. They are both members of Nordisk Film prize committee.

Managing director of Nordisk Film Michael Ritto was host at the event which marked Nordisk Films 101 birthday.  He was flanked by Søren E. Jacobsen, former Managing Director in Nordisk Film and administrator in the Nordisk Film Fund, who charmingly was binding the day together.
The female feature of the day, Danish singer Tina Dickow, gave some beautiful songs from the stage between the prize-giving.
