See ”Martha” for free

On Sunday June 4, Nordisk Film expects no empty seats when Erik Balling’s comedy “Martha” from 1967 sails across the big screens.

Since its opening, the movie has obtained a cult-like status in Denmark amongst seamen as well as landlubbers. Now everyone can enjoy it for free in 10 cinemas across Denmark.

In Nordisk Film’s anniversary vote, everyone who loves the movies has the opportunity to vote one of the productions from the Nordisk Film treasure trove back onto the big screen during the polar bear’s centennial in 2006. “Martha” won our third anniversary vote with 14% of the votes cast. It was followed by “Terkel in Trouble”, which received 12% of the votes.
Free tickets for “Martha” can be booked at www.biobooking.dk or by phone at +45 70 13 12 11.

The people’s vote for movie classics continues
The vote for the fourth anniversary movie from Nordisk Film continues until June 10. At the moment “Kundskabens Træ” is in the lead.

Each month during 2006 will feature a text-message vote, which will result in the choice for the anniversary movie of the month. The following cinemas have free screenings every first Sunday of the month for the rest of the year: Palads in Copenhagen, all Danish BioCity-cinemas, BioCenter Kolding, and Grand Teatret in Randers. Specific screening schedules can be obtained in the local cinema.
