A good year for sequels
It was generally sequels of earlier years´ movie successes that drew people to Nordisk Film´s Danish movie theatres in 2007. The fifth part of the adventures of Harry Potter was the most seen of the year.
Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Shrek 3, Spiderman 3, Anja og Victor 4 and Die Hard 4.0. It indeed was sequels of earlier years´ movie successes that in 2007 drew people to the movie theatres.
The most seen movie in Nordisk Film´s Danish movie theatres was Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix that drew 175,677 visitors into Nordisk Film´s movie theatres. On second place with approx. 5,000 fewer visitors is the last part of the adventurous trilogy about Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann in Pirates of the Caribbian 3. The third most seen movie in the Danish movie theatres was a somewhat other genre. Here you will find the animated movie, Ratatouille, about the rat Remy who dreams of being a master chef. 141,070 visitors paid at the box office to watch the efforts of the little rat.
Though it is mainly titles with a 3 or a 4 attached who drew the audience to the movie theatres the Danish titles did quite well. None fewer than eight of the most seen movies in Nordisk Film´s Danish movie theatres were Danish with Anja og Victor 4 as top scorer with 100,392 visitors.
