Latvian children’s book market is lead by Egmont Latvia
On December 18th the biggest bookselling chain in Latvia, Janis Roze, announced its annual top 5 of bestsellers. In the children’s’ category places 1 – 4 were taken by Egmont Latvia.
Egmont Latvia’s books in Janis Roze’s annual top 5 of bestsellers in the children’s category:
1. The Cars HC.
2. Winnie the Pooh Movie Projector.
3. Pirates (John Methju).
4. The Chronicles of Narnia – Silver Chair.
Cars have been a success story ever since the animation movie launched in August ‘06. First print run (2.000 copies) was sold out in four months. The place as a top seller indicates that Egmont Latvia is recognized as an important player and competitor.
