Egmont UK has acquired the prestigious "Bob the Builder" publishing license.
Egmont UK has secured exclusive publishing rights to Bob the Builder®. HIT Entertainment Ltd has granted Egmont rights to produce all Bob the Builder® publishing including storybooks, novelty books, colouring and activity books and annuals. The first Bob the Builder® books from Egmont will be released in 2007.
Bob the Builder® joins a host of other leading licensed characters published by Egmont, including Thomas the Tank Engine™, Mr. Men, Barbie, Miffy, Postman Pat, Tintin, Winnie-the-Pooh, and Fireman Sam. This new acquisition confirms Egmont’s place as the top character publisher in the industry, and complements Egmont’s other recent significant acquisition of Rupert Bear, which will also launch in 2007.
